How did we get our start?
Floto was established in 2003 after Joe Floto brought back a leather travel bag from Italy and noticed that everywhere he went with it people asked - "where did you get that bag"?
What makes our products unique?
We specialize in Italian hand stained leather which is metal free, sustainable, and not harmful to people. This centuries old Tuscan tanning tradition produces colorful leather that is easy to craft and gets better with age.

Milnao Mini Bag

Milano Mini Satchel is handmade with full grain vegetable tanned calfskin leather. This leather was handmade Etruscan style in the heart of Tuscany to soften, patina, and develop a silky touch. Only vegetable extracts and natural oils were used to create rich, vibrant color and a tender, semi-gloss finish. It includes a detachable cross body strap, key hook, card holder, and 2 button latch closure (non-locking).

Interior Features The interior of the Milano Mini is suede leather lined with 3 credit card pockets + a handy key holder.	Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather At Floto we prefer to work with genuine hand stained vegetable tanned leather. The supple skin has a sweet scent, is easy to cut and sand, strong and flexible, and does not contain any toxic or harmful substances.	Handcrafted in Italy All Floto leather bags are handcrafted in Florence, Italy by skilled artisans practicing techniques handed down for generations.

Sustainable Tanning

The slow process of tanning Floto leather uses natural vegetable tannins with total respect for nature. Our raw leather skins are a byproduct of the food industry and our tanning waste is reused in other supply chains. Floto tanning is metal free, sustainable, and not harmful to people.

Genuine Hand Stain

Artisans in the hills of Tuscany carefully hand stain each Floto leather skin by using a special cotton sponge and non-toxic vegetable based stain.

Floto is an American brand. Every Floto leather bag is artisan made in Italy, but it was designed and packaged in the United States. As a small family owned company we are thankful and grateful for your business. We stand by all of our products to ensure you can enjoy them as much as we do.
